A Dubuque man with outstanding arrest warrants, identified as 33-year-old Travis Patrick Nelson, was arrested Saturday, July 29 after a high-speed motorcycle chase in McGregor and Marquette — he sped at over 80 mph, ran a stop sign, crashed into an oncoming vehicle with no serious injuries, and now faces charges including eluding police, reckless driving, and driving with a suspended license.

Tom Drake recalls Iowa's old farm traditions—like square baling, butchering days, husking sweet corn, canning produce, and raising mixed livestock—that are fading as modern methods and fast-paced life change how farms work.

He warns that future generations might not experience these time-honored practices.
