- ➤ Dubuque Regional Airport data showed flights to O’Hare were 33% full until the airline shifted the departure to 7:50 a.m., increasing occupancy to 41% after May 16. Airport officials waived fees and offered discounts—hoping to boost ridership to 80% and eventually add more flights or a new hub. KCRG

- ➤ A Dubuque man was sentenced for leading police on a high speed chase downtown after fleeing a March 20th traffic stop—he pleaded guilty to eluding and driving while barred and will serve two years in prison. Radio Dubuque

- ➤ The Archdiocese of Dubuque will mark the newly renovated Cathedral of Saint Raphael with a special Mass and open house on Sunday, June 29 at 5 o’clock in downtown Dubuque—an event that will also feature a presentation on the renovations, light refreshments, and guided tours. - ➤ Today, Greater Dubuque Development and the Dubuque Chamber of Commerce hosted a virtual town hall meeting to stress the need to keep and grow daily flights from Dubuque Regional Airport to Chicago’s O’Hare Airport, with Mayor Brad Cavanaugh and Chamber President Molly Grover urging travelers to compare costs using the True Cost of Travel calculator + supporting local air service for future regional growth. - ➤ The City of Dubuque Parks and Recreation Commission is inviting residents to submit park name ideas for a new park in South Pointe by July 16 (proposals must include reasons for the chosen names). - ➤ The Dubuque City Council voted unanimously last night to accept a $3.4 million settlement from 3M over eight years to lower water rate increases beginning July 1st—this change means water bills will rise 8% instead of 9%—reducing the average monthly cost by about 40 cents. Radio Dubuque
