- ➤ Dubuque Police are investigating a Hempstead High School employee accused of possessing child sexual abuse material and computer-generated images of students (images created outside of school) after an alert from the Iowa Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force in April led to the suspect being placed on leave and schools reaching out to affected families. - ➤ Iowa's Board of Regents received dozens of emails criticizing a proposed policy that would bar courses with diversity, equity, and inclusion and critical race theory content—prompting regents to review and change the plan before a final decision next month. The Gazette
