- ➤ Police arrested 19-year-old Jordan Quinn after he threatened a Loras College security guard with a knife around 2 a.m. Sunday morning in the 1500 block of Henion Street—he was charged with interference with official acts while displaying a weapon, being ineligible to carry a dangerous weapon, public intoxication and two counts of assault while displaying a dangerous weapon. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Dubuque County schools enrolled 334 Hawaiian or Pacific Islander students during the 2023-24 school year (11% increase from last year). The students made up 2.6% of the 12,797 total, with Hempstead High School reporting the highest count at 65 students (the largest enrollment among county schools). Dubuque Times

- ➤ Iowa Donor Network is teaching nurses, EMTs and other health workers how to report deaths for organ and tissue donation so more donor referrals are made.
