Iowa leaders reminded residents that much of America’s Thanksgiving dinner began in the state—Governor Reynolds, celebrating her final Thanksgiving at the governor’s mansion, stressed the importance of family while Agriculture Secretary Naig urged appreciation for the risks Iowa farmers face.

An affordable housing project in Dubuque called Boundless on Bluff has received a $1.3M grant from the Iowa Finance Authority to transform two empty lots into a six-plex for people at risk of homelessness.

The project will be finished in 2027 and includes $226,000 for tenant support services — provided by Community Solutions of Eastern Iowa.
