- ➤ The University of Dubuque will host its 28th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 3rd at 4 p.m. on Alumni Common—lighting a new blue spruce—and a reception in Blades Hall will follow for local and online guests. WJOD
- ➤ Kwik Stop in Dubuque will host Free Santa Day on November 30th from 10am—2pm at its Pennsylvania Avenue location where families can meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, take photos, and get goodie bags and a letter from Santa. The store will also offer prize giveaways like Fighting Saints tickets and a Kwik Care Karl stuffed bear along with special meal deals. WJOD

- ➤ Enrollment for free preschool for four-year-olds in Dubuque for the 2026-27 school year begins Monday; Iowa residents who are 4 by September 15 must show proof of age and residency to a district office or apply online at 12:00 p.m. on December 1 — computers are available at district schools for families needing internet access.
