- ➤ Today the Canadian Pacific-Kansas City Holiday Train travels through northeast Iowa to support local food banks by giving free concerts — it stopped in New Albin and Lansing and will arrive in Marquette at 5:30 p.m., Guttenberg at 7:30 p.m., and Dubuque at 9:45 p.m. — J.J. Wilde and Smashmouth perform as the train moves on toward southeast Iowa tomorrow. KWWL
- ➤ After four years of fundraising, Farley nears its goal to raise another $750,000 to convert a former church and school into a new library and community center as it recovers from its 2021 closure. A $200,000 donation from Craig and Lisa Breitbach boosts the effort while an online silent auction starts Sunday, Nov. 30 at 10 a.m. and runs until Thursday, Dec. 4 at 1 p.m. KCRG

- ➤ City officials in Dubuque announced free parking at downtown metered spaces from Thursday until Sunday during the holiday weekend—an effort to boost local shopping during a key time. Transportation director Ryan Knuckey said the initiative supports downtown businesses and will run through Small Business Saturday on November 29—helping residents shop local. KCRG
