- ➤ Approximately 1,000 people signed a petition urging the Archdiocese of Dubuque to pause its plan to merge parishes; the proposal announced in September aims to combine over 160 parishes into pastorates (to support fuller masses) while mass attendance fell 47% and the number of priests dropped 44% (since 2006). - ➤ The Dubuque Health Services Department is seeking information about a dog bite incident that occurred around 8:30 a.m. Saturday at City Pet Park on North Grandview Avenue – the incident involved a large black and tan mixed-breed dog possibly named Buddy and an owner described as a white male in his 50s. - ➤ City officials announced that a long term closure of Kerper Boulevard between East 12th and 16th streets begins Wednesday and will continue until July due to construction of the Dubuque Gate and Pump Station Flood Mitigation Project. Motorists will detour via U.S. Highways 61/151 or use Elm Street and East 16th Street to bypass the closure. Radio Dubuque
