- ➤ Veterans Day events in Dubuque will be held on November 11, with a ceremony at ImOn Arena at 10:30 a.m. followed by a chili feed at Legion Hall and free smoked pork loin sandwiches served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.—local businesses will offer extra discounts and free meals to veterans with valid military IDs. - ➤ Magical Kwik Stop Christmas begins its 24th year on November 10th at Kwik Stop and Dairy Queen locations and will provide 10 gifts for each member of 25 local families (gifts range from daily essentials to wish-list items). Donations will be accepted throughout November as the program partners with Catholic Charities and local businesses to support families in need. WJOD
