- ➤ Milo is a smart and active dog who has waited one year at the Dubuque Regional Humane Society and now needs a loving home. The 5 and a half year old dog—best as the only pet and for families with older kids—has finished training and is set for visits by appointment at 4242 Chavenelle Road. WJOD
- ➤ Volunteers say the Little Food Pantries in Dubuque empty by the end of each day as grocery prices rise and SNAP benefits remain in question. Sandy Heer from Lord of Life Lutheran Church said that if SNAP benefits do not resume by November 1, the need for non-perishable foods—like peanut butter and canned soup—will likely grow. KCRG

- ➤ Dubuque Regional Airport announced that Delta Airlines now offers direct booking through its website for flights using Denver Air Connection—streamlining baggage transfers and eliminating extra checks at O’Hare. - ➤ Today at 5:15 p.m., the Dubuque Museum of Art is breaking ground at its new downtown campus in the 700 block of Locust Street with remarks from design architects and Mayor Brad Cavanagh. The $69-million project will include an educational courtyard, outdoor sculpture gardens, community galleries, and a café—while the museum remains in the Dupaco Voices Building on Jackson Street. - ➤ Dubuque Drug Task Force partnered with the Asbury Police Department and ASAC on October 25th to hold National Drug Take Back Day, safely collecting 188.6 pounds of medications and 139.0 pounds of sharps. A permanent drop box at the Law Enforcement Center has gathered an additional 201.89 pounds since April, bringing the year’s total to 529.49 pounds and reducing risks to community health—ensuring safer disposal of dangerous items.
