- ➤ The Dubuque City Council approved spending $2.4M in tax funds to keep daily Chicago flights operating through June while local businesses may add $750,000 and the city set aside $100,000 for marketing. Denver Air Connection will adjust its schedule starting November 1—departing at 7:15 a.m. to better serve business travelers. WJOD
- ➤ Crews will close the Black Hawk Bridge at 7 a.m. on October 20th, ending vehicle travel over the Mississippi River in Lansing. The Iowa and Wisconsin Departments of Transportation are building ferry landings—set for free car service to start in early November—while demolition of the old bridge begins. KCRG
- ➤ Today, Dubuque voters cast ballots in the Primary Election for two city races — the mayor race with incumbent Brad Cavanaugh, Jason Davis, and Deb Borley, and the City Council Ward 1 contest with newcomers Carmen Hernandez, Tyson Leyendecker, and DeLano Cain-Watson — with the top two in each race moving to the November ballot; polling places are open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. Radio Dubuque
