The United Way of Dubuque Tri-States raised over $130,000 on Friday when about 75 participants met the $1,200 minimum and rappelled off the Nicolet Bank Building (the event supports 37 local nonprofits working to reduce poverty).
🏥 Health
Dub County public health officials held a free walk-in MMR vaccination clinic at the Dyersville Social Center on Monday to boost immunization as measles cases rose in nearby Wisconsin counties — about seven residents were vaccinated.
The VNA will host two additional clinics at the Holy Cross and Epworth Fire Stations later this month.
Finley Hospital in Dubuque delivered 70 babies in August, the busiest month for births since 2017, and recorded three sets of twins on Aug 28, Sept 6, and Sept 8.
The hospital welcomed 423 babies since January.
