🎓 Education
Dubuque voters approved a school levy increase and elected Mike Hoskins to fill a board vacancy.
The levy doubles from $0.67 to $1.34 per $1,000 assessed value and will bring in over $3 million a year for school repairs and upgrades (including air conditioning and new entrances).
Voters in Dubuque Community School District are at the polls today to vote on a levy renewal that would raise the rate to $1.34 per $1,000 of assessed value and choose from three school board candidates.
Voting centers are open 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
