- ➤ On Wednesday, a Dubuque teen said she was held against her will and raped repeatedly by men during a May 21–22, 2024 hotel incident, and her victim impact statement was read during Jarod Anderson's sentencing—Anderson received a life sentence for human trafficking a minor, sexual abuse, pimping and sexual exploitation of a minor. - ➤ The Great Draw Street Art Competition will take place in downtown Dubuque on Saturday, September 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 11th and Main Streets. - ➤ Travelers flying out of Dubuque Regional Airport can get a $100 rebate if they buy tickets before September 30. Dubuque Initiatives has set aside $200,000 to boost air travel—flights to Chicago via Denver Air will need to reach 80% capacity to maintain daily service. KCRG
