On Wednesday, a Dubuque teen said she was held against her will and raped repeatedly by men during a May 21–22, 2024 hotel incident, and her victim impact statement was read during Jarod Anderson's sentencing—Anderson received a life sentence for human trafficking a minor, sexual abuse, pimping and sexual exploitation of a minor.

The Great Draw Street Art Competition will take place in downtown Dubuque on Saturday, September 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 11th and Main Streets.
