  • AAA data shows that more than 3.7 million West North Central travelers will hit the road for Labor Day Weekend — domestic flights, hotels and car rentals are expected to cost less than last year.   • Dubuque voters will decide on a $70M bond referendum in November that could consolidate middle schools by closing two historic buildings and building a new, climate-controlled facility. The plan uses $52M in sales tax funds along with the bond and may save up to $2.5M annually—offering improved learning conditions for the next 20 years.  KCRG

  • Iowa Rep. Ashley Hinson said on Thursday that the GOP tax & spending law boosted energy production, enforced stricter immigration limits, and defended trade policies amid John Deere layoffs.
