- ➤ On August 7th, Dimensional Brewing Company and the River Museum relaunched Conservation Cream Ale during the Taste of Summer event, where guests sampled a beer that supports the museum's conservation and education programs—The ale will continue to be available on tap and at future events, including a special fundraiser on October 2nd. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Police said a motorcycle passenger (21-year-old Analisa Cimino) was injured and taken to a hospital after a car driven by 26-year-old Tessa VanderBleek ran a stop sign and struck the bike at McDonald Drive and Crescent Ridge Court Tuesday evening; operator 23-year-old Jason Huling was also involved in the incident. - ➤ T-Mobile acquired UScellular’s wireless business for $4.4 billion on August 6, making phone service users in Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin part of the T-Mobile network. Customers keep the same plan (for now) as they begin to see improved 5G coverage and may receive future T-Mobile perks. WJOD

- ➤ The Iowa Court of Appeals upheld the murder and robbery conviction of 26-year-old Chicago man Aaron Johnson for the February shooting death of 31-year-old Lonnie Burns on Rhomberg Avenue in Dubuque after his appeal alleging prosecutor misconduct was rejected. Radio Dubuque

- ➤ Rural Iowa teachers have reported that funding shortages and burnout are creating extra challenges in the classroom, with some paying for supplies out of pocket. A local foundation hosted a summit in Maquoketa to offer up to $1,000 in grants and share tips to prevent burnout. KCRG
