- ➤ Monster trucks will roar at the Dubuque County Fairgrounds on August 23 when 2X Monster Trucks brings high-flying stunts and FMX freestyle for all ages. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ 19 year old Domani Stevenson, charged with attempted murder in the May 4 shooting of 29 year old Excell Moore on Rhomberg Avenue, will face trial on October 21 in Dubuque County District Court after his trial scheduled for this week was postponed. Radio Dubuque
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Dubuque County saw a 2.4% increase in SNAP funding when benefits rose from $14,666,572 in 2015 to $15,011,402 in 2024—assisting low-income households in buying food. Dubuque Times
- ➤ Last night, the Dubuque City Council approved a $4 million contract with Keeley Restoration Services to rehabilitate the Iowa Street Parking Ramp that was built in 1968 and has most of its third floor closed due to structural damage. The project—which was nearly $1 million under budget after being scaled back—is scheduled to complete by the end of July and the council also approved a 7.24% pay raise for police supervisors, the fire chief and the assistant city manager through June 30th.
