- ➤ Culbie’s Event Center — a new venue at 90 Sinsinawa Avenue in downtown East Dubuque — hosted soft-opening events and will hold its grand opening on August 8 with a ribbon-cutting, drink specials and live music. The 9,000 square foot space can be used for events from small parties to large celebrations and offers an indoor hall, patio and beer garden, and bar. WJOD
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Dubuque Police report a two-vehicle crash over the weekend at the intersection of White Street and East 16th in downtown Dubuque in which a 20-year-old was taken by ambulance to MercyOne Medical for treatment — a 77-year-old was cited for not obeying a stop sign and driving without a valid license. - ➤ The Iowa Department of Transportation announced it will demolish the Mississippi River Bridge at Lansing this fall after project engineers found that further construction on the new bridge (opening in 2027) may create safety risks.
