- ➤ Drug dealer Shon Dwayne Perkins, 37, was sentenced to five years in federal prison after pleading guilty on December 19th, 2024 for selling a fentanyl-xylazine mixture near a protected area in Dubuque—evidence showed his sale led to a drug user developing necrosis and permanent arm scarring while he awaits transfer. - ➤ On July 4th the 61st Annual Audrey Hammer Fourth of July Ice Cream Social raised more than $480 to help save the Mathias Ham Historic Site—an old landmark that shows Iowa life in the 1800s.
