CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Last week, Dubuque Police partnered with the Iowa Department of Revenue to check 21 liquor-licensed locations for underage alcohol sales—one location illegally sold to a minor and its employee was cited. Radio Dubuque
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ City of Dubuque offices will be closed on Friday, July 4 for the Independence Day holiday so City Hall and most other facilities will not be open and curbside trash, recycling, yard waste, and food scrap collections will be moved to Saturday, July 5. Carnegie-Stout Public Library and the Multicultural Family Center will close at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 3 and remain closed on Friday while The Jule and the Intermodal Transportation Center will not operate and parking meters will not be enforced on the holiday. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Starting July 1, Iowa will merge mental health and substance use disorder services into seven behavioral health districts to combine funding and simplify billing—state agencies say that current patient services will continue but new staffing may be limited at first. Oversight will shift to the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services and the Iowa Primary Care Association to ensure consistent care. The Gazette
