- ➤ Residents of Dubuque County can now self-load less than one cubic yard of United States Composting Council Certified Compost safe for gardens and lawns from four sites including the DMASWA Landfill on Airborne Road, the Municipal Services Center on Kerper Court, Epworth, and Cascade. Those needing larger amounts must schedule loading assistance—$30 per cubic yard. KWWL

- ➤ A local dog got sick after eating wild mushrooms that grew in the yard overnight—she was seen at the vet where tests showed swelling and high kidney levels—and she is now improving on a bland diet. WJOD
