- ➤ Today, Cottingham & Butler employees receive a new childcare option as New Horizon Academy opened just across from the main campus to serve up to 200 children from infants to kindergarteners with priority enrollment and subsidized tuition. The facility—designed to ease the local childcare shortage—features a dozen classrooms, a STEAM lab, and a playground that doubles as a splash pad during summer. KWWL

- ➤ The City of Dubuque Parks and Recreation Commission is accepting park name proposals for a new park in the South Pointe neighborhood — proposals must follow the city’s Park & Recreation Facility Naming Policy and can be submitted online or by picking up a paper form at the parks office on Central Avenue. - ➤ During this year's session, the Iowa Legislature and governor's office used Legible — an Iowa-based AI program — to help track and evaluate bills, making Iowa one of the first states to use AI in the legislative process. The program supported House caucus staff by streamlining document review and bill tracking as lawmakers handled more than 2,000 pieces of legislation. The Gazette
