Due to flash flooding at Heritage Pond, Dubuque County Conservation postponed its Adaptive Outdoor Adventure Day — the free event for individuals with physical or neurological challenges is now set for Saturday, June 20 from 10 until 2.

Starting Monday, June 15, work on the Julien Dubuque Bridge will redirect Dubuque’s eastbound traffic from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. to the Dubuque-Wisconsin Bridge, adding about 10 minutes to travel; the bridge will fully close in July with work expected until mid-September, and the Iowa DOT offers a free shuttle (reservations required) between Dubuque and East Dubuque.

John Deere Dubuque Works announced plans to hire 30 new workers this month for construction + forestry operations, raising its callback total to 72 this year.
