- ➤ Dubuque Racing Association announced that Dubuque and Jackson County Habitat for Humanity and Butler Children’s Garden Foundation Incorporated were awarded $50,000 each in the 2025 Mission Grant awards. The grants will fund the Wood Street Project for up to fourteen single-family homes in Mount Pleasant + support essential upgrades at Wanderwood Gardens near the Dubuque Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. - ➤ Iowa residents are warned that scammers are impersonating U.S. Marshals to demand immediate payment — officials say the calls are fake and advise not to share personal or financial information. They urge anyone who receives these calls to hang up and report the incident to local authorities and the Federal Trade Commission. WJOD

- ➤ The Dubuque Museum of Art will host a community day and closing celebration this Saturday at its location in the Woodward Fine Arts Center, 701 Locust Street, with free admission, family artmaking, and a lobby art project featuring final exhibits by Gerit Grimm, Stina Joy Henslee, and Jenni Brant.
