- ➤ The University of Dubuque will launch a new associate degree program for helicopter pilots this fall to address a shortage in EMS, law enforcement, and aerial firefighting sectors. The pilot pathway will expand existing training resources with a new helicopter simulator. Radio Dubuque

- ➤ Local naturalists and hikers have reported rare white and black squirrels across Iowa as genetic trait sightings spark community curiosity. One white squirrel, noted for its leucism (occurring in about 1 in 100,000 births), was captured at a nearby park. WJOD
