- ➤ A 16-year-old boy from Sherrill was seriously injured Thursday morning in a Dubuque County crash on Gun Club Road, half a mile north of Epworth—he crossed into oncoming traffic, struck a towed trailer, and was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries while being cited for failing to maintain control. - ➤ 45-year-old Maurice Randolph, a Chicago man who conspired with others to distribute cocaine from 2017 to April 2021 near Dubuque parks and schools, pleaded guilty on December 5 and was sentenced to over 24 years in federal prison after a co-conspirator’s sale on February 14 led to a Dubuque woman's death—he and two others will jointly pay nearly $14,000 to her family.
