- ➤ The Public Works Department hosts a Touch a Truck event at the Dubuque Farmers' Market on Saturday, May 16 from 7 until noon as part of National Public Works Week. - ➤ Three Iowa families and business leaders announced a $10 million gift to support the Field of Dreams project in Dyersville, funding a new professional ballpark and campus; Governor Kim Reynolds attended on Thursday as the donors become legacy partners. KWWL

- ➤ The University of Dubuque is launching a new two-year helicopter pilot program this fall to fill a shortage in emergency services, law enforcement and firefighting. The program is part of an expansion at the Edward Babka Aviation Learning Center — with a simulator and new hangars set to be completed in December. KWWL
