- ➤ ITC Midwest is conducting aerial patrols of high-voltage transmission lines and structures from today through May 23 to inspect for vegetation hazards — the flights cover areas including Dubuque, Asbury, Independence, Key West, and Lancaster. - ➤ Students at the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Dubuque began a sustainable garden using a $5,000 microgrant from the Bloomberg Philanthropies Youth Climate Action Fund to feed the community and support hands-on learning. They plan to use the produce for a farmers market in July and to fund future garden projects. KCRG

- ➤ Yesterday, Dubuque expanded its list of materials allowed for weekly curbside composting to include dairy products—bones, meat, poultry, fish and shellfish.
