ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Tree roots blocked a sanitary sewer pipe near the 3000 block on Spring Valley Road yesterday and caused untreated wastewater to flow into storm sewers at Spring Valley and John F. Kennedy Road. City crews arrived by 8:00 a.m. — clearing the blockage by 9:15 a.m. while the Iowa Department of Natural Resources warned residents to keep children and pets away for 48 hours. KCRG
- ➤ A motorcyclist was airlifted to Iowa City after colliding with a car on 9th St SE at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday night in Dyersville— the car driver suffered minor injuries and officials are continuing to investigate the crash. KWWL
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Former Dubuque corrections officer Benjamin Dalsing was arrested on 11 counts of possessing minors' sexual images and one count of sexual exploitation of a minor — a report by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children linked his IP to images uploaded on Kik Messenger in September 2024 and his bail is set at $50,000 cash.
