ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A two-vehicle crash injured a Dubuque woman on Thursday morning near the intersection of Peru Road — Toledo Street when 37-year-old Melissa Wieser pulled out from a parking lot and collided with a vehicle driven by 51-year-old Alex Stuart; she was taken by ambulance to Finley Hospital and cited for unsafe entry onto a roadway. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Wednesday, the Iowa House advanced a bill to remove sales tax on toilet paper with an 82—11 vote and the measure now moves to the Senate. If signed into law, the change will take effect on July 1 and is expected to cut state and local tax revenues while saving buyers up to $9.1 million annually by 2030. WJOD
