- ➤ Dubuque Regional Airport announced that beginning May 16th Denver Air Connection will change its daily schedule with an outbound flight leaving Dubuque at 7:00 a.m. — arriving at O’Hare at 7:55 a.m. — and a return flight leaving O’Hare at 5:00 p.m. and landing in Dubuque at 5:55 p.m. Officials say the new schedule — which offers over 200 connections with United and American Airlines — will give travelers extra time for business in Chicago. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Clayton Ridge Community School District is starting a four-day school week this fall that moves Monday into the weekend and has over 600 students attending classes from Tuesday to Friday at 8:15 a.m. until 3:45 p.m.—the longer days will maintain required instructional time, help control absenteeism, and make the district more attractive to new teachers. - ➤ Escucha Mi Voz filed a civil rights complaint Friday against the Iowa State Patrol and ICE after seven Latino construction workers were stopped on April 18 near Dubuque on their way home from work. The complaint alleges prolonged detention and potential ethnic profiling — it demands a full investigation, suspension of immigration enforcement against the workers, and termination of the 287(g) agreement.
