- ➤ Denver Air Connection will update its flight schedule from Dubuque Regional Airport to Chicago O’Hare on May 16 with a 7:00 a.m. departure from Dubuque—landing in Chicago at 7:55 a.m.—and a return flight leaving O’Hare at 5:00 p.m. that lands in Dubuque at 5:55 p.m., and passengers booked on or after May 15 will be contacted about itinerary changes. - ➤ Dubuque Police arrested 35-year-old Tyrell Spearman on a warrant for willful injury after a violent assault downtown on April 5th near East 14th Street and Central Avenue—where a man suffered cuts and lacerations—and they also charged 27-year-old Myhkal Oliver shortly after the incident. - ➤ University Avenue in Dubuque reopened today after utility repairs finished following a hazardous incident on April 13 that involved a downed power line, vehicle fire, and underground gas leak + city officials said Walnut Street from Jefferson to University Avenue remains closed until further notice. - ➤ Dubuque named Joe Pregler as its new Chief Information Officer—he is replacing retiring Chris Kohlmann, who served in City IT for over 42 years. Pregler, who has worked in the department since 2001 and was interim, was appointed by City Manager Mike Van Milligen. Radio Dubuque
- ➤ The Iowa House advanced a bill on April 24 that, if it becomes law, will offer rural grocers matching funds up to $100,000 for upgrades to utilities, equipment, and technology.
