- ➤ On Friday night, a barn fire on the 28,000 block of North Bankston Road in rural Dubuque County injured an unknown number of livestock — estimated losses reached $150,000 while the homeowners were not present and no people were hurt. KWWL
- ➤ Several Dubuque County fire departments responded to a barn fire at the Charlie and Carrie Deutmeyer farm east of New Vienna Friday night, finding the barn fully engulfed in flames with no injuries, damage estimated at $150,000 — and an unknown number of injured livestock. Radio Dubuque

- ➤ In 2022, Medicaid transfers in Dubuque County accounted for 3.4% of total income with an average of $2,070 per person and a total of $204.22 million according to the Economic Innovation Group—this made it the second smallest contributor among government transfers as Social Security led at 39.1%.
