- ➤ City Manager Mike Van Milligen was injured last night when an intoxicated driver hit his car door downtown—34-year-old Christopher Higgins fled the scene and was later found unconscious on Aerostar Drive facing multiple traffic charges—leading to Van Milligen’s hospitalization at Mercy One Medical Center for a broken kneecap. - ➤ 20-year-old Byron Manning pled guilty to a reduced charge of second-degree burglary and was sentenced this week to 10 years in prison for a September 2024 home break-in on University Avenue that involved drawing guns and stealing an Xbox and iPhone while 21-year-old Alexander Carmen is set to go to trial on April 29.
