- ➤ Carnegie-Stout Public Library in Dubuque will expand its Makerspace, teen area, and staff space after a $1 million donation from longtime visitor Robert Mutschler (a patron). A contractor is to be chosen on April 16 and the project will finish by year’s end, increasing capacity from three to eight users. KCRG

- ➤ The Archdiocese of Dubuque will reveal its new pastorate plan on April 11 as part of its Journey in Faith initiative — the update includes priest assignments and an interim Mass schedule from July 15 through Jan. 15, with final ministry plans to follow. Radio Dubuque
- ➤ Fans at the Dubuque County Fair on Friday, July 31 can see ALBORN open for headliner Sleep Theory. The Northern Illinois rockers will bring high-energy rock+metal to set the tone while tickets are available now. WJOD
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Today, Iowa Corn Growers Association president Mark Mueller said a summer waiver letting fuel companies sell E15 is only a temporary fix as local farmers will visit the White House to urge year-round sales amid high input costs, though critics fear it could boost smog in warm weather. KCRG
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Dubuque County will pave two miles of the Heritage Trail near Dyersville to concrete later this year using a $500K federal grant and $125K local match. Design is underway and construction may begin before fall — the upgrade will improve accessibility for residents and visitors. KCRG
- ➤ Seippel Rd. southbound lane has been closed since 7 a.m. March 26 for repairs and will reopen at 5 p.m. April 17; motorists must use the detour via Chavenelle Rd., Northwest Arterial, Dodge St. (U.S. Hwy 20), and Old Highway Rd. while northbound traffic is unaffected. Radio Dubuque
