- ➤ After a Dubuque Fighting Saints game Saturday night, a local driver and a companion got help when their Honda got stuck on a snowy dock hill near ImOn Arena. Spencer and another volunteer used a GMC truck and rope (highlighting community spirit) to pull the car out safely. WJOD
- ➤ This July, thousands of bicyclists will ride the RAGBRAI route that starts in Onawa on July 18 and ends in Dubuque along the Mississippi River. Day 6 (July 24) finishes with an overnight stop in Dyersville before Day 7 concludes in Dubuque on Saturday, July 25. Radio Dubuque
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Dubuque firefighters responded to three fires from Friday night to Sunday evening—one fire at 7034 Then Road destroyed a machine shed with $100K damage; another at 8205 Seippel Court hit a storage facility; and a house fire at 2222 Central Avenue left a home uninhabitable and one person injured. - ➤ The National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium held its 22nd Ice Fest over the weekend, where families enjoyed indoor skating, hockey and Olympic artifact displays. The museum will keep these historical items on view for a limited time. KWWL

- ➤ New Iowa cattle farmers are facing tough times as cattle prices more than double and inventory hits record lows, making herd expansion difficult. The Mostek family works to grow its operation despite rising costs — a challenge for newcomers in the farming industry. KCRG

- ➤ Dubuque’s Recreation Division has opened registration for adult softball & volleyball leagues. Softball games start during the week of April 26 at McAleece Park and volleyball matches begin the week of May 6 at Flora Park, with various fees and divisions available. WJOD
